The Central KS SHRM annual SHRMinar is back and in-person! This is a great workshop for HR professionals or anyone with HR responsibilities.
Workshop is on Friday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Cost of registration is $60
Lunch is included with the registration fee. Coffee, tea and water along with some snacks will also be provided.
Registration deadline is October 6th.
Workshop will be submitted for SHRM-CP certification.

Managing the Modern Virtual Workforce and Online Behavior. We all know the modern workforce is more virtual and online than ever before. Virtual meetings are here to stay and social media platforms have replaced the traditional office water cooler, where employees now flock virtually to express their opinions, views and complaints. This session will cover helpful tips for businesses on how to manage employees’ online behavior, modernize employment policies, and legally enforce your workplace rules in a variety of virtual settings.

10:30 – 11:45: Session II: Election 2020 Update
The Labor and Employment Landscape One Year Later. It’s been just one year since the election, but what a year it has been!!! This session will cover the changes made by the Biden administration (and the anticipated changes on the horizon) in the labor and employment arena and the potential impact on your business. We will also discuss emerging trends in employment litigation and traditional labor law – and what you should be on the lookout for.

Tips for the Modern Workplace. We will discuss current recruiting struggles that every employer is facing – labor shortages, creative benefits, remote work requests, among others. Bring your questions and experiences to share among your peers what is working – and what isn’t.

1:30 – 2:45 pm: Session IV: Sex, Lies and Investigate This: Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations.
A refreshed presentation that will explore some of the dos and don’ts of conducting effective workplace investigations. Issues discussed include conducting effective interviews, evaluating credibility of the parties involved, documenting investigation results, and mitigating risk of future litigation.
